Always On Devices are the Future
Always Connected devices are systems such as cell phones. In time these devices are becoming “aware” of their environment. They start to understand where they are, what you want them to do, how much power they are using, and other devices around them.
Always On and Aware Devices exist today
- A simple example of such a behavior is ”bumping” two iPhones/Android together to exchange information.
- Event monitors that wait for ”events” and turns the computer on/off thus saving power. These might include chats/downloads/email.
- The some WebOS from Palm is Aware of its environment and your plans.
In the future these systems will develop as Intelligent Agents to assist in our daily tasks.
