CUPP Computing AS was incorporated in 2005 in Bergen, Norway. CUPP has patented a highly unique “hybrid” computing solution called the “CISS” (CUPP Integrated Southbridge Solution) link, which enables seamless integration of both high power (X-86) and low power (RISC) processing through the chipset of any standard PC.
This innovative and highly versatile solution has enormous potential both to expand the utility of the PC, and to enhance the user experience in myriad ways. This is achieved by enabling a far broader spectrum of functionality than is presently practical in a PC device, while at the same time dramatically decreasing the PC’s power requirements (thus lengthening battery time in laptops, and allowing for a major reduction in CO2 emissions used for powering PCs of all types.
